Summer Cadet Activity Program (CAP)

CAP Joining Instructions

A QUICK BREAK-DOWN OF THE SUMMER CAP

WHAT IS THE SUMMER CAP?
CAP (Cadet Activity Program) will be a fun five day, in-person program and will be solely activity based. 
Cadets will participate in a variety of activities, i.e. sports, range, FTX Day, team building and local tours.
IS LUNCH PROVIDED?
Lunch will be provided each day, (3 days MRE, two days box lunch)  ​
WHAT DOES THE DAILY SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE? 
CAP will operate daily, as follows:
​

0745 hrs – site open for parental drop off of cadets;
0750 hrs – daily registration;
0830 hrs – activity program begins;
1200 hrs – lunch;
1600 hrs – clean-up / end of day routine;
1615-1700 hrs – dismissal / parent pick-up (supervision continues);
          * Note site schedule and activities may vary by location.

​WHAT DO I WEAR TO THIS ACTIVITY?
Dress for the week will be appropriate civilian attire and based on the activities of the day.

2021-07-16 - FOUR THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE SUMMER CAP

Can I participate in virtual ctcs and cap at the same time?
Cadets cannot participate in vCTC and CAP at the same time.
HOW MANY CADETS ARE ALLOWED AT EACH TRAINING LOCATION?
Our area has also been advised that based on Provincial summer day camp guidelines, serials will be capped at 20 cadets per location. Quotas may be adjusted or cadets may be asked to switch to an alternate week if there are any conflicts with public PHMs.
​ARE THE DATES FOR SUMMER CAP SET IN STONE [UPDATED 2021-07-16​]?
Mostly - while we now have dates and a location for CAP, there may be changes & updates depending on the state of PHMs (Public Health Measures) later in the summer. Keep your eyes peeled on your email & social media for updates as they come in!
