How do I get Points? I wanna win!
Step 1: Follow the Virtual Full Value Contract (FVC):
  1. Respect each other. Don't spam or troll others at any point during the activity.
  2. If you see spam or trolling, do NOT engage those activities. Message an Officer or Instructor so that they can address that behaviour.
  3. Focus on the content being covered. Don't bring up unrelated topics or have personal conversations unrelated to the class/event.
  4. Breaks between classes and time before and directly after the opening and closing parades can be used to talk and discuss among yourselves about any appropriate topics.
  5. When taking part in games during Cadet activities, please remember they're just for fun! Feel free to be competitive, but remember at the end of the day that respect for each other is #1.
  6. Remember: PSRY and your regular FVC that we would follow in person at the unit are just as applicable online. You are still participating in Cadet activities - just in a new format!

*At the beginning of class:
  • Preparedness is an important aspect of all Training - whether virtual or in-person.

  • Examples of points to be given:
    • Engaging with the camera
    • Engaging with the chat and/or mic
    • Wearing the proper uniform
    • Do you have a water bottle to stay hydrated?

Step 2: Do as many of these things as you can!
  • Video On
  • Audio Used
  • Chat Used (see FVC)
  • Reactions Used (see FVC)
  • Correct Uniform
  • Uniform meets Standard
  • In Waiting Room by 18:25
  • Arrive after 18:30
  • Water Bottle Present

Step 3: Do NOT do these!
  • Spam Chat
  • Breach FVC

Step 4: Keep an eye out for Special Events… to gain additional points!

Step 5: Profit.
How are these Points calculated?
1. Points are counted within the month only - the beginning of each month is a chance to change the tides of victory!
  • Exception: for the ACR, Individual points will be tallied from Feb-June
  • These Individual points will also be a part of the assessment criteria for Top Cadet within each Star Level

2. Star Level Points:
  • Add up Reward Points & subtract Penalty Points of each participant within the Star Level
  • We take the total points for the month, and divide by the total unique number of participants within that Star Level - to get the final score for the month

3. Individual Points:
  • Add up Reward Points & subtract Penalty Points

Reward Points:
  • +5: Video On
  • +6: Audio Used
  • +7: Chat Used (see FVC)
  • +5: Reactions Used (see FVC)
  • +5: Correct Uniform
  • +2: Uniform meets Standard
